Malam Hadi Awwal

Malam Hadi Awwal was a respected Nigerian Islamic activist, seasoned academic, and committed community leader, widely recognized for his enduring contributions to Islamic propagation, education, and institutional development. He is one of the founding members of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria (SCSN), where he has played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for the Council’s growth and in advancing its mission of promoting Shariah, unity, and responsible leadership within the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria.

Born and raised in Kaduna – northern Nigeria, Malam Hadi Awwal received his early Islamic education through the traditional Qur’anic system, where he developed a strong foundation in Qur’an and the study of classical Islamic sciences.
