DISCLAIMER ON FALSE SOCIAL MEDIA CLAIMS AND POSITION OF THE COUNCIL ON INEC CHAIRMAN

The attention of the Supreme Council for Shariah in Nigeria (SCSN) has been drawn to a series of misleading and unsubstantiated reports circulating across various social media platforms. These reports, attributed to certain anonymous and unofficial handles, falsely allege that the Council, under the leadership of its President, has directed Muslims to embark on prayers specifically calling for the removal of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and further insinuate that the Council has threatened that elections will not hold if such demands are not met.
